A Study of EFL Chinese Postgraduate Students Pragmatic Knowledge on the Use of English Address
This thesis attempts to find out the differences in the pragmatic knowledge on the use of English address forms between two groups of EFL Chinese postgraduate students and one group of British postgraduate students.This thesis employs quantitative approach to analyze the data collected from the questionnaires.Based on the analyses,it shows that the pragmatic knowledge of the two groups of EFL Chinese postgraduate students on the use of English address forms are all not good enough and still needs to be improved.The results also indicate that the pragmatic knowledge on English address forms of Chinese postgraduate students studying in UK is much better than Chinese postgraduate students studying in China.
