A Corpus-based Analysis of Translational Tourism English on Chinas Websites:How close is it to native speakers production?

　　Based on a comparable corpus of tourism English,this study analyzes the linguistic features of the translational tourism English on Chinas websites,and attempts to identify the gap between tourism English on Chinas websites and that on English speaking countries websites.The comparable corpus compiled for this study includes two sub-corpora,which sampled and collected English tourism texts respectively on Chinas websites and English speaking countries websites.Through comparing the lexical diversity,lexical density and average word length and sentence length,frequency distribution of some particular word classes,and the use of imperatives,it is hoped that the findings will contribute to the improvement of the translation of tourism discourse in Chinas context.
