Language Assessment and Interpreting Assessment toward a Cross-fertilization:An Interview with Professor Lyle F.Bachman

　　This is an interview with Professor Bachman,Professor Emeritus of Applied Linguistics at UCLA.Professor Bachman is a world-renowned expert on language testing,who is devoted to research in English teaching,second language acquisition and language testing.In the interview,Professor Bachman looks back on his experiences in research on language testing,talks about the new developments in his theory on language testing,and offers suggestions on interpreting assessment and its research.Professor Bachman proposes that interpreting assessment researchers should take an interdisciplinary perspective,and should,in particular,prioritize Assessment Use Argument.
