Discourse and Pragmatics in Language Teaching

　　This essay discusses discourse and pragmatics in language teaching in two parts.Part one focuses on the principal aspects of discourse and pragmatics which impact on language teaching.The second part analyzes two materials on speaking,one from the CoursebookAdvanced Matters,the other from a university English book in China,Zooming in: An Integrated English Course and then offers possible ways of development.
