Achieve Infrared Performance of Large Sized Aspheical Lens via Ultra-precision Grinding

  In order to avoid the inherent shortcomings of traditional abrasive polishing for infrared aspherical lens, such as low efficiency and poor product uniformity, the ultra-grinding technology for large sized aspheical lens with excellent infrared performance was investigated.The multispectral CVD zinc sulfide for aspherical lens with diameter of 93.5mm was achieved via ultra-precision grinding with ultra-precision surfaces, low damage and high efficiency.The form accuracy of surfaces is about P V∶ 0.8μm, the roughness Ra is below 10nm.Most important, the light transmittance of ground infrared aspherical lens is between 70% and 80% in 2~10μm wavelengths without coating or other increased transmission.
