Fine Finishing of SUS304 Stainless Steel by Low-Frequency Alternating Magnetic Field-Assisted Polishing

  SUS304 is a kind of austenite stainless steels to be frequently used as the materials of precise instruments because of it has the properties of anti corrosive and high strength.In order to realize effectively nano-level finishing of SUS304, we proposed a magnetic abrasive finishing process using low frequency altemating magnetic field and developed a set of experimental devices in this study.Experimental results indicate that this process can be used in finishing of SUS304 stainless steel, the surface roughness Ra was improved from 233.54nm to 3.96nm.
