To Be Townspeople or to Be Citizen: Investigation of Rural Labor Forces Transfer Paths in Sichuan
With the accelerating of urbanization, a large-scale rural labor force will transfer to the urban areas. Because of the conditions vary between nature and social economy; there might be differences in the path choice of transferring. In east China, a lot of labor forces transferred to the local small towns while the situation in the western is not totally the same. Through the survey of 31 townsYvillages, the result shows that because of the weak industrial base and the limited function of population aggregation, more rural labor forces selected to transfer to the big or medium-sized cities rather than the local small towns.
