The Role Conflict of the Dean — from Perspective of the Academic and Executive Power
This paper is based on the research on the academic and executive role conflict of the deans from the perspectives of academic and executive powers. The research demonstrates that role conflict exists among the deans on a scale of medium plus. The influence of the personal features on the role conflict of the dean has no distinct difference. There is no distinct difference between the role conflicts of different levels and different types of the universities. The executive and academic role conflicts are caused by the position of the dean, no matter who takes the office, he will be sure to face the conflict. The academic and executive role conflicts of the dean is of great universality -in 211 project universities or general universities or vocational colleges no matter whether it is a private or public one.
