Study on Construct Competency Model of Teacher in University in China
In this study, 26 teachers in university were selected based on their performance criteria and interviewed by using Behavioral Event-interview method, half of which were high-performance group and the others were ordinary-performance group. All interviews were transcribed into text content and encoded according to Dictionary of Competence Encoding. Competency model of teacher in university was constructed on the basis of analysis of the interview data. The conclusions are: (1) the competency model of teacher in university was consisted of the excellent teachers competency model and the prerequisite teachers competency mode, (2) the excellent teachers competency model includes achievement motivation etc. twenty characters, (3) the prerequisite teachers competency mode was consisted of flexible and adaption etc. twenty characters.
