Learn to Say It in a Different Voice -On the Psychological Process of Chinese EFL Learners Learning English Exposition Writing

1 Introduction This paper intends to investigate Chinese EFL learners’ psychological process in learning Traditional English Essay (TEE) writing. As an important branch of foreign language (FL) teaching, FL writing is gaining more importance in the field of applied linguistics and FL pedagogy. Researches in this respect are roughly divided into three types. The first type of studies deal with the differences in the discourse structures between a learners mother tongue and the influences on the target language production. Researchers involved are Gregg (1986), Deng & Liu (1989), Wang (1993), Liao (1999) and Cai (2006), etc.. The second type are concerned with the linguistic features of learner language production, such as Wen (1998), Ma (2001), Ni (2000).
