Toward a Virtual English Learning Community -The Role of Computer-mediated Communication in Second Language Acquisition
1 Introduction With the rapid development of information technology, the avenues of communications for human beings have been diversified. Face-to-face interaction is not frequent any more, when there are numerous restraints in space and time. As a web-based interpersonally communicating way, computer-mediated communication is burgeoning and blossoming when computer is ubiquitous in this,information technology (IT) times. Overstepping the boundaries of time and space, people can exchange their opinions freely anywhere and anytime.
