The Challenges of Globalization on Teaching Listening Comprehension and Their Solutions in China
Globalization plays a more and more important role in the world today. While it has brought about enormous opportunities, it has also raised great challenges that we must tackle in order to go forward. In the world of academia, a lot of research has been conducted concerning the impact of globalization on English teaching (Wang Fang 2006 ; Xu Zhisuo & Li Xiao 2006; Hu Xiaoqiong 2007), college English (Sun Lingyan & Ma Xingyu 2006), curriculum and materials design (Bo Huili 2008) and the teachers role (Shen Yingmei & Yang Wenwei 2008).
