Integrated Innovation Ability Evaluation of Advanced Manufacturing Industry in Henan Province

Advanced manufacturing industry plays a more and more important part in economic growth of Henan Province. Integrated innovation ability has become an important driving force to promote the rapid development of advanced manufacturing industry. This paper constructed an evaluation index system of integrated innovation ability of advanced manufacturing industry. The evaluation index system was composed of technology, institution and supporting environment innovation ability. Then the paper illustrated evaluation steps of integrated innovation ability of advanced manufacturing industry based on Principle Component Analysis (PCA) method. Finally the paper developed a case study on Henan Province. The result showed that the overall integrated innovation ability of advanced manufacturing industry in Henan Province was not high and technology innovation ability was a main constraint. The case study indicates that PCA method is simple and workable and provides a new way for the evaluation of integrated innovation ability of advanced manufacturing industry.
