The Relationship between Motivation Factors and Retention in Government-run Construction Enterprises in Beijing
The important HRM issues of retention and motivation have been under-researched in relation to staff in government enterprises in China. The western literature on the links between retention and motivation is interrogated and informs the development of hypotheses, which are tested using quantitative methodology with key management and technical staff in two government-run construction enterprises in Beijing. The HR managers of these two enterprises will then be interviewed as to these results and how they could inform current HR practices.
