Developing Organizational Leaders in Transitioning China
This study explored leadership under Chinas transitioning economy. Through a literature review, we identified some critical challenges facing organizational leaders,factors influencing their leadership practice and opportunities presented for HRD , specifically in leadership development. We identified five core leadership competences that are particularly relevant to the transitioning nature of the country. A conceptual model was developed and areas for future research were also recommended.
