Analysis of Urban Resources Difference: An Empirical Study in Northeast China

摘要：

Urban development is the progress of utilizing and contesting resources. The effective demand theory may explain short-term economic growth, but the long-run development is based on effective supply. The city has a strong control capability at entity resources, and these resources enable cities to achieve competitive advantage and superior long-term performance. The paper analyzes and evaluates the 34 urban resource endow ment in Northeast China, and finds that the difference of urban resources is determined by the difference of human resource, so cities should enhance human resource accumula tion level, especially be based on resource endowments in making development strategy.
