Printed Circuit Boards In Micro Fluidic Applications

A technology for creating fluidic micro systems using printed circuit boards (PCB) is presented. This technology mainly utilizes the manufacturing principles of the normal PCB production known from electronics. In this technology pumps, mixers, valves, chambers, channels, reservoirs and filters are already developed. Even more complex systems are feasible. As an example a flow injection analysis for detecting Fe in water is presented.
