Study on Anti-Wrinkle Finishing Technology of Linen Fabric by an Environmental-Friendly Chemical Additive
As people's awareness of environmental protection continues to increase,natural cellulose fabrics such as cotton and linen have become popular again due to their advantages of easy degradation and good biocompatibility.Linen has excel-lent moisture absorption,breathability,antibacterial and anti-ultraviolet properties,but its anti-wrinkle performance is poor,and it is prone to wrinkles during wearing and washing.TF 6500 is an odorless and formaldehyde-free environmental-friendly resin finishing agent used for anti-wrinkle finishing of cellulosic fabrics.Flax contains about 80%cellulose,TF 6500 can be used to improve the anti-wrinkle performance of linen.The concentration of TF 6500,the concentration of the catalyst,the baking time and the baking temperature are selected as the main influencing factors.The L9(34)orthogonal experiment was carried out,and the order of the factors affecting the anti-wrinkle effect of linen fabrics was obtained through the range analy-sis which is:baking temperature>TF 6500 concentration>baking time>catalyst concentration,and the optimal process condi-tions for anti-wrinkle finishing of linen are determined as:TF 6500 concentration is 140 g/L,catalyst percentage is 30%,baking temperature is 150℃,baking time is 3 min.Experiments show that the crease recovery angle of the linen after finish-ing is increased from 58.6° to 144.6°,the increase ratio is 146.8%,the breaking strength is reduced from 497.5 N to 393.4 N,and the strength retention rate is 79.1%.Therefore,TF 6500 can improve the anti-wrinkle performance of linen,it is also environmental-friendly without formaldehyde generation and has great market application prospects.
