Design,Fabrication and Impact Performance Analysis of Intralaminar and Interlaminar Hybrid 3D Braided Composites
Hybrid is a common method to improve the mechanical properties of materials.Based on the study of the yarn ar-rangement of three-dimensional(3D)braided prefabricated parts,the design and preparation method of intralaminar hybrid 3D braided composites were proposed.Two and four layers of interlaminar hybrid 3D braided composites were prepared by resin co-curing method,and the low speed impact properties of three kinds of hybrid 3D braided composites were tested.It was found that the damage tolerance of the interlaminar hybrid(4 layers)composites was much higher than that of the other two under the in-plane impact and axial impact.Compared with the intralaminar hybrid 3D braided composites,the interlami-nar hybrid(2 layers)3D braided composites had obvious advantages in the axial impact performance,and the damage toler-ance in the in-plane direction was higher.The results of this paper will provide an effective method for the design and manu-facture of 3D braided preforms and composites.
