Effects of Electrospinning Parameters on Morphology and Mechanical Properties of Nanofibers
Electrospinning micro/nanofibers with special morphology has aroused wide concern.In this study,inspired by cu-cumber tendril,helical micro/nanofibers are fabricated by electrospinning technique.Three kinds of electrospinning systems,containing various spinneret configuration,are employed in fabrication of the helical micro/nanofibers.The morphology and mechanical properties of the nanofibers from the three electrospinning systems are investigated.At the same time,the DSC curves for the components that form helical fibers during electrospinning process is analyzed.As a result,the nanofibers gen-erated from electrospinning system using off-centered spinneret exhibit the better helical shape with the higher curvature,ap-propriate compatibility of components,and the higher tensile strain,compared with the ones using online blending spinneret and two-spinnerets.This study provides a novel insight to the fabrication control of helical micro/nanofibers.
