Borrowing Conforming to Time:Research on Wisdom of Timescape in Yuanye

摘要：

　　In his book Yuanye(literally crafts of gardening),Ji Cheng proposed the importance of conforming to time in garden construction and garden activities,and puts forward the word"timescape"for the first time.It is the unique materialized existence form of time in ancient gardens,by which garden activities can keep pace with the natural rhythm and ideal life of harmony between man and environment will be realized.Starting from the wisdom of time in Chinese traditional culture,this paper lists the main contents of the timescape in Yuanye,explores and analyzes the wisdom of conforming to time contained in the garden construction and garden life from three aspects,namely climate,phenology and folk custom,and puts forward suggestions and expectations on the protection,research and modern inheritance of the wisdom of timescape,so as to provide theoretical basis for subsequent in-depth study.
