Event,Place and Culture:Study of Event Landscape in Diejiao Watertown,Foshan
Urban events occur on the land and natural landscape,and together build the regional culture of the city and people's regional identity.Highlighting regional culture has always been one of the goals of old city renewal,which is very important to avoid the"one city image in a thousand".This paper discusses the extended meaning of"event space theory"in the field of urban planning and landscape architecture,that is,event landscape.Taking Diejiao town in Foshan as an example,through comprehensive investigation method likes literature review,field investigation and big data analysis,this paper analyzes the event landscape characteristics of Diejiao town and the relationship between events,landscape and culture.Based on this,puts forward the event landscape as the starting point of planning,and through the three aspects of"recognition,activation,access"update strategy to strengthen the relationship between event,place and culture,and to highlight the positive significance of the overlapping of natural landscape and urban events for the construction of living environment and the display of urban regional culture,so as to provide new ideas for urban renewal and old city reconstruction in China.
