Research on the Vernacular Landscape of Irrigation Area of the Ancient Weir in the Songgu Plain

  Many ancient weirs in Songgu Plain form a typical ancient weir irrigation area in Southwest Zhejiang Province.It integrates the typical hydrological intervention,space construction and water resource management methods of the river valley plain and is a traditional geographical unit of human settlement environment based on the water system.This paper first elaborated the overall characteristics of the irrigation area group of ancient weir in the Songgu Plain by methods of field investigation,literature review and graphic analysis.Then,we carried out statistical calculations on 13 ancient weir irrigation areas,which are larger than 66.7 hectares.In addition,four irrigation areas of typical ancient weir were selected to analyze the relationship between water conservancy,farmland and settlement system in detail.Finally,it summarized the local landscape features of the irrigation area of ancient weir in Songgu Plain.There is a positive correlation between landscape systems in irrigation area of the ancient weir in Songgu Plain,which is highly coupling relationship.It is of reference significance to understand the vernacular landscape of other similar irrigation areas of the ancient weir.
