A Comparative Study on Spatial Characteristics of New and Old Stockade Villages based on Space Syntax:A Case Study of Taoping Qiang Stockade Village in Sichuan Province
Space syntax,as the language of social logic in understanding space,reveals the interactive relation between human social activities and spatial forms behind the data,which has certain advantages for studying the deep humanistic and social factors behind the spatial logic of traditional ethnic villages.Based on the space syntax of Taoping Qiang stockade village topological space system carried on the thorough analysis,through the empirical data and mathematical quantification,comparing the differences between the two systems,finally based on spatial logic under deeper social correlation analysis on the cause of the differences,explore the space structure and the correlation between activities.The results show that the old stockade's road network is more developed than the new in spatial structure,there is no obvious centrality,and there is almost no topological relation between the old stockade's road network and the new stockade's road network.In terms of function,the whole system corresponds to the integration degree value in a specific scale,which verifies the correlation interpretation between spatial structure and functional use by space syntax from the side.
