Research on Blue Honeysuckle Seedings Breeding and Establishing Garden
In the framework of the"Developing National Innovation System of Mongolia Programme"we selected 3 sorts,produced in the Siberian science-research institute in order to establish a garden for blue honeysuckle,build a breeding place and breed the seedlings adjusted to the climatic conditions.We conducted observations and studies on the sorts between 2016-2018 or for 3 years and the Berry Blue sort produced very good branches and the branches were very active compared to the other sorts,therefore,regrowth were suitable for green branch breeding.Under the project we bred 14.420 seedlings and 68.5%survived from green branch breeding and 85.1%survived in the breeding place.The unit price for a blue honeysuckle seedling is MNT 6.100 and if consider that the average market price is MNT 8.000,then,the profit from 1 seedling will be 23.8%.Under the project we established the garden with 9 sorts on 1.2 ha,cultivated 1.784 seedlings and the seedlings started giving crops from the 2nd year and from the 4th year we compensated the current year expenses and started making profit.If consider that the total investment is to be compensated in 12th year and the biological aging of the cultivation is 35 years,then,it is possible to receive crops for next 23 years.
