THE ANALYSIS OF HDPE PIPE APPLICATION IN XIAOLANGDI PROJECT WATER SUPPLY SYSTEM
Xiaolangdi multipurpose dam project is the key control project in the development and harnessing of Yellow River,playing an important part in flood control,maximizing benefits and minimizing disbenfits,multiple development,ect..The Xiaolangdi project water supply system affects the safe operation of Xiaolangdi project and its comprehensive benefit production in the long term.The water supply system has been put into operation for more than two decades,the equipment and technology fall behind gradually,and the system status becomes worse year after year.So the repair and maintenance quality can not be guaranteed totally,and the expected repair effect can not be realized.Along with the science and technology progress,and new type of pipes appearance,HDPE pipe is adopted in Xiaolangdi project water supply system reform,due to its excellent performance,such as resistance of heat,cold,oil,steam,environmental stress cracking and shock.This article describes some excellent performance of HDPE pipe,and its construction technology process,including HDPE pipe preparation,cutting,centering,butt fusion,cooling,etc.It also describes the detailed project construction standard,such as the pipe ditch excavation,the ditch bottom preparation,pipe laying,pipe connection and installation,pressure test,pipe ditch backfill and compaction.It has been proved by practice that good economic,safety and social benefits are achieved.
