TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF RCC RAPID DAM CONSTRUCTION IN CHINA
Since the completion of the first Kengkou RCC dam in China in 1986,more than 300 RCC dams have been built or under construction in China over the past 30 years according to incomplete statistics as of the end of 2018.The constructed 192m high Longtan Dam,200.5m high Guangzhao Dam,203m high Huangdeng Dam and the 215m high Guxian Dam along with other RCC dams under construction have indicated that Chinas RCC dam construction technology has entered the 200m level in height of dam construction.They have fully demonstrated that the full-section RCC dam construction has obvious advantages of simple,fast,environment friendly,safe and reliable.In view of the technical characteristics of full-section RCC dam construction and relying on dam body own anti-seepage in China,this paper briefly described the technical features of RCC rapid dam construction technology and provided technical support for its sound and rapid development.The technical characteristics have been discussed in this paper from the aspects of RCC dam design,construction materials,mix ratio design,construction engineering,anomaly concrete,interlayer bonding,temperature control and crack prevention,quality control as well as digital dam and intelligent dam,etc.
