THE RAPID & QUALITY CONSTRUCTION TECHNIQUE OF RCC CONCRETE FOR HIGH DOUBLE-CURVED ARCH DAM

  The retaining dam of Xiangbiling Hydropower Station adopts the RCC High Double-curved Arch Dam with parabolic dam face which has the great difficulty in construction technology of RCC arch dam over 140m in height and is also the second highest RCC arch dam built in China at present.Located in the V-shape river valley,the dam is 141.50m in height,the dam bottom of 35m in thickness and dam crest of 8m in width.The valley is typical wide and flat valley with the two sides slope of 40° ~58°.The arch-height ratio reaches over 3 and is 40% ~60%greater than several completed RCC arch dam.The The geology and lithology in dam site is basalt.The paper focuses on the rapid and quality construction technology and concrete placing method adopted in high double-curved arch dam of Xiangbiling Hydropower Station to make the dam construction of the project up to 100m in one year come true and realize the rapid construction goal at the similar project,which lays a solid foundation for the reservoir impounding in stages and business operation of the power station.Meanwhile,it has the reference significance for similar projects in the future and plays a connecting role between the preceding and the following in the progressive development of RCC double-curved arch dam to the level of 150m and 200m.
