RESEARCH AND APPLICATION OF TEMPERATURE CONTROL TECHNOLOGY FOR HIGH ROLLER COMPACTED CONCRETE GRAVITY DAM IN DRY AND HOT AREAS

  Dry and hot regions are widely distributed in the world.Their climatic characteristics are high temperature,high wind speed,large evaporation,dry climate,low air humidity,long sunshine time,strong ultraviolet radiation,large variation of daily and annual temperature,which makes it difficult to control the temperature of high roller compacted concrete gravity dam.Based on the project of high RCC gravity dam of Ludila Hydropower Station in dry and hot areas,according to the climate characteristics in dry and hot areas,the temperature control of high RCC gravity dam in dry and hot areas is systematically studied in this paper.Based on the study of the dry-hot climate characteristics and the influencing factors of RCC performance index,the climatic judgment conditions,VC value,warehouse cover time,humidity and heat preservation,and warehouse microclimate suitable for temperature control in dry-hot areas are put forward.For the first time,the PL admixture (phosphorus slag powder + limestone powder) was systematically studied in high RCC gravity dams in dry and hot areas.The effects of fineness,grinding technology,mixing ratio and dosage of PL admixture on the performance of RCC were obtained,and the optimum mix ratio of RCC in dry and hot areas was put forward.Based on the study of the influence of solar radiation heat in dry and hot areas and the distribution characteristics of reservoir water temperature,dam body temperature and stress,the comprehensive temperature control measures of RCC outlet temperature control,transportation,warehouse surface protection and dam body maximum temperature control are put forward.The research results can be widely applied in the dry hot areas of Central Africa,West Africa,Central Asia and Western Asia,which can greatly reduce the potential safety problems of RCC cracks in dry and hot areas under high temperature and dry climate,and improve the scientific,rational and intelligent control of RCC dam temperature control,so as to ensure the application of high RCC gravity dams in dry hot areas.The quality of work has a broad application prospect.
