Research on Effect of Lipid and NH4+-N for Anaerobic Digestion of Food Waste

Oleic acid and NH4+-N are the main metabolite of lipid and protein in the process for anaerobic digestion of food waste (FW).(1) In accordance with the study on inhibition experiment of oleic acid, while the concentration of oleic acid was above 6.0 g·L-1,the number of methanogens decreased, the metabolic rate of acetic acid slowed down and the yield ofbiogas declined as well.(2) As the result of NH4+-N experiment, the maximum concentration of NH4+-N that the anaerobic digestion system could tolerate was 4,578mg·L-1.(3) In the experiment of mesophilic anaerobic digestion (35℃),controlling the content for lipid and NH4+-N,the continuous stirred tank reactor (CSTR) was running smoothly for 200 days, the maximum biogas yield of FW was 1.1 m3·kg-1VS·d-1 and the maximum biogas yield by reactor volume was 4.43 m3·m-3·d-1.
