Resource recovery and carbon reduction from kitchen waste anaerobic digestion treatment in southern China: A case study

　　Waste composition was investigated in different communities which started source separation of municipal solid waste (MSW) in southern China.Base on the waste composition,the mass flow analysis was conducted for a real case study on kitchen waste anaerobic digestion treatment,and carbon reduction is also analyzed by a life cycle assessment modal,named EASEWASTE.The result shows approximately 34700 Nm3/d biogas,26.8t/d RDF and 59t/d soil conditioner can be produced,and a total carbon reduction of 71,000 t per year can be achieved,mainly by substitution of fossil fuel and avoiding methane emission in landfill.
