Novel Design Approach for Cantilever of Relay Contact Using the Preference Set-based Design (PSD) Method

  A new design concept of Preference Set-based Design (PSD) Method was proposed to apply for designing a shape of cantilever in relay contacts.PSD method was developed as a useful method for implementing designers intention especially in the field of mechanical design.Examples of design for nine design parameters and four required performances are illustrated successfully.Introducing of PSD method in designing a part of relay will possibly expand the margin of designer.
