Availability Estimation of Repairable Parallel Load-sharing k-out-of-n: G Systems with Limited Repair Resource
The dependency among the units of repair able parallel load-sharing k-out-of-n:G systems is the biggest challenge confronting their availability evalua tion.This paper focused on the state evolution of the investigated load-sharing system and then proposed its availability estimation method.A Markov process was adopted to describe the state evolution with the number of failed units increasing.First-fail-first-repair policy was utilized due to the limited repair resource.Capacity Flow Model was used as the link function mapping the relationship between unit lifetimes and load level.Finally,the Kolmogorov differential equations of each system states probability at any time is established for further estimating system availability.A numeric example was presented to illustrate the result of this model.
