The Analysis and Improvement of the Problem on the Excessive Power Consumption of Miniature Circuit BreaKer
With the development of electric system,higher reliability of the electrical products has been proposed, and meanwhile more performance index of the products has been cares by users.For miniature circuit breaker (MCB) as an example, the requirement of power consumption after electrical life experience has been demand, except for the mechanical life times,electrical life times, short circuit characteristics which were cared usually.In this paper, the failure case about a type of MCB with the problem of excessive power consumption has been introduced.By means of infrared thermal imaging analysis technology, segmented parameter test method, SEM-EDS analysis, the failure site and probable reasons were clarified, and this problem of excessive power consumption has been significantly improved by the improvement steps.
