The Effect of Different WC Particle Size on Arc Erosion of AgWC12C3 Static Contact Material
In this paper, AgWC12C3 contact materials with different particle size WC powders were prepared by uniform mixing and compression molding by the same process method Among them, 2 WC particles are 3 times the size of 1 # WC particles) and matched with the movable contact AgW50.It is applied to the molded case circuit breaker product (1600A) for electric life verification, and then the physical properties of the contact material are compared respectively.Microscopic analysis and theoretical calculations, contact arc erosion mechanism, arc moving influence factor and other related methods were used to analyze the effects of different WC particle sizes on AgWC12C3 static contact arc erosion.Finally, it is concluded that under the premise of the same quality, the finer the tungsten carbide particles, the larger the surface area occupied by the WC particles on the contact working surface, and the more effective the solution viscosity during the arc burning process, so it is more effective.Prevent the splashing and loss of silver and increase the number of times of electricity.
