Multi-physics Simulation Method of Contact Resistance of Contacts Based on Fractal Theory
Contact resistance Joule heat in main circuits is the main heat source of high-power contactors in the working process.As the contact resistance interacts with factors such as temperature and contact surface stress,the calculation of the contact resistance is difficult.In this paper, a mathematical model of microscopic irregular morphology of the contact surface based on fractal function was proposed, which combines the thermo-electric-force multi-field coupling model of a single micro-contact point to calculate the contact resistance of contactor working under different environments and load levels.At the same time, the steady-state temperature rise of the contactor for long-term operation was calculated based on the change in contact resistance.And the simulation method is proved to be feasible through experimental comparison.
