Influence of the salt in reactive dye formulation on reactive dyeing in silicone non-aqueous dyeing system
In this paper,the K/S value and levelness of reactive red 195 on cotton fabrics in silicone non-aqueous dyeing system were studied in view of the major problems of difficult treatment for dyeing inorganic salts in dyeing wastewater treatmentduring dyeing industry.Firstly,the reactive dyes were purified by recrystallization method to remove inorganic salts.Then,the effect of changing the concentration of salt in the reactive dye formulation on the dyeing in the non-aqueous medium dyeing system of silicone was investigated.It is found that when no alkali is added,as the salt concentration increases,the K/S value increases,and the fabric leveling property gradually becomes better.When the concentration of alkali is 40g/L,the change of salt concentration has little effect on the K/S value of the fabric,when the salt concentration is lower than 30g/L,the leveling property of the fabric is better.However,when the salt concentration is higher than 30 g/L,the leveling property becomes worse as the salt concentration increases.
