Discrete Dipole Approximation for Predicting Far-Field Pattern of Coding Metasurface Antennas
In this paper,We present a numerical technique for predicting the far-field pattern of slotted waveguide antennas based on an adaptation form of the Discrete Dipole Approximation(DDA).By using this method,we can predict the farfield radiation pattern of coding metasurface antennas under different sequences.The capabilities of the proposed method are verified by demonstrating the excellent agreement between DDA and full-wave solver HFSS.The proposed method has potential application value in the fields of beamforming and microwave imaging.
