A Two-dimensional Low Side Lobe Frequency Scanning Planar Array with Hybrid Feeding Structure
A 1×4 two-dimensional low side lobe frequency scanning planar array with hybrid feeding structure in Ku-band has been designed.In order to obtain low side lobe,the planar array was designed by 4 parallel sub-arrays in azimuth dimension and the electromagnetically coupled feeding structure was used to ensure non-uniform distribution of energy.The results of simulation show that,except at the center frequency,the voltage standing wave ratio(VSWR)of the antenna array is below 1.2 at the operation band,the range of the scanning angles is(-30.5o,29o),the beam width of the antenna is about 5.5-6.6 degrees,and the gain is more than 30dBi.The measure results of side lobe in azimuth dimension are below-19dB,and the results of side lobe in pitch dimension are below-25dB.
