Calibration measurement of shore-based radar with active reflector
Radar external calibration is an important means to obtain the radar cross section(RCS)of unknown target. The choice of calibration method is closely related to the ambient environment of the radar. This paper reports a calibration measurement of the UHF-band shore-based radar with active radar calibrator(ARC)on a fishing boat.Experiment results show the validity of the calibration method. It was found that multipath propagation effect due to the sea surface could not be neglected.Based on the analysis of multi-path propagation, the calibration precision is controlled at 2dB.
