A Wideband Polarization Reconfigurable Antenna with Six Polarization States
A wideband single-feed crossed-dipole antenna with reconfigurable polarization states among right-hand circular polarization(RHCP),left-hand circular polarization(LHCP)and four linear polarizations(LP)at 0°LP,90°LP,45°LP and 135°LP is proposed.The proposed antenna consists of two pairs of bowtie dipoles,a pair of slim rectangle dipole and a metallic square reflector.The polarization states are controlled by ten PIN diodes.Stimulation results demonstrate an impedance bandwidth(BW)of 35.3%from 2.05 to 2.93GHz for all polarization states.The 3dB axial ratio BW for CP states is 40.4%from 2.25-3.39GHz.In conclusion,the overlapped bandwidth is 26.25%from 2.25 to 2.93GHz.The stimulated gain within the bandwidth is greater than 6.6dBi and the crosspolarization values relative to co-polarization is less than-13dB.
