A Dual-Polarized Broadband Resonant Cavity Antenna
In this paper,we present a dual-polarized broadband Resonant Cavity Antenna(RCA),which is composed of a superstrate and a feed antenna. The superstrate is double-deck structure, where the superstratum is composed of circular patch cells and substratum is composed of circular aperture cells. This shows positive reflection coefficient phase, which in turn helps in obtaining wider RCA half-power fractional bandwidth. The feed system is a dual-polarized broadband aperture coupled patch antenna, which is composed of square resonant patch and dual-layer feed network. In order to feed energy to resonant patch,cross-shaped slot was cut away from the ground.Simulated results show that this RCA owns 2GHz(9GHz-11GHz)S11 =-10dB impedance bandwidth where the RCA can obtain 13.33dBi-14.17dBi gain.Additional results will be presented during the symposium.
