Frequency Scanning Leaky-wave Antenna Based on Goubau Line Formed by Loading Parasitic Branches
This paper proposes a Goubau line formed by loading parasitic branches which can function as guiding the EM waves radiation.The whole structure consists of Goubau line and the CPW matching part which can excite the plane wave,with a thickness of 0.06λ0 at 6.5 GHz.By loading the parasitic branches an additional amount of phase matching with the radiated waves in the air can be provided.Compared with other microstrip antennas,the monolayer structure has the advantage of easily machining in the wireless communication system.In this paper a leaky-wave antenna with working band from 4-9GHz is designed.The antenna displays a good broadside radiation function which can be demonstrated by working at even mode and odd mode.The scanning angle comes to about 60 degree.The radiation efficiency can reach to above 88%in the band.
