The effect of earth curvature on the full-wave model
The full wave method is a computationally-efficient model to solve electromagnetic field of the very low frequency wave in three-dimensional space of the horizontally-stratified medium.When the signal wave propagates further lateral distance from the source,the effect of earth curvature cannot be neglected.We modify the full wave model via considering the effect of earth curvature.Comparing with the planar-stratified model and satellite data,we find that the energy distribution computed by the spherical-stratified model is more compact.
