Center-Fed Shorting-Via-Loaded Circular Patch Antenna with Reconfigurable Polarization and Switchable Beam
Combined polarization-and pattern-reconfigurable antenna is highly desired for future wireless systems that require high data rate and multiple functionalities.Parasitic strips are loaded around a multi-linear polarization reconfigurable antenna to obtain switchable beam for a specific polarization state.It it verified through the simulation that the main beam can be scanned to ??30°,0°,and+24° at ? = 90 ° polarization state by switching the PIN diodes on the parasitic strips.Furthermore,the realized gains are stable for these states,i.e.,varied between 5.4 dBi and 6.5 dBi.
