Full-wave Electromagnetic Scattering Simulation of Plunging Breaking Waves

  The breaking wave is the primary factor that causes complicated scattering characteristics of the sea surface.In this work,the scattering analysis of breaking waves started with a multiphysics point of view.The development of a canonical plunging breaking wave in deep-water is numerically simulated by solving the non-linear hydrodynamic equations.Meantime,the scattering of the developing breaking waves for different polarizations and frequencies is simulated using the finite element method.Numerical results reveal the scattering characteristics of breaking waves at different stages in the breaking process and under different polarizations.
