Programmable Metasurface for Manipulating Wi-Fi Signals
We,for the first time, present the programmable metasurface especially for the manipulation of the Wi-Fi signals with frequencies ranging from 2.41 to 2.48GHz in this work. This metasurface consists of an array of binary phase-coded meta units, which are electrically and independently controllable by changing the states of loaded PIN diodes.More specifically, for each meta unit,it has two phase states, and the phase difference of 180° ±20°when the state of its PIN diode is switched from ON(rep.,OFF)to OFF(rep.,on)at the desired wireless frequency band.Simulation of imaging examples and experimental results of meta units are provided to demonstrates its performance and important potential in manipulating arbitrarily Wi-Fi signals, which could fundamentally push forward information systems.
