Single-frequency and Single-sensor Three-dimensional Microwave Imaging Using Programmable Metasurface
Microwave imaging based on programmable metasurface with a single sensor at single frequency has been demonstrated to be remarkably advantageous to other conventional imaging techniques due to the high-speed-data-aquisition,the low cost hardware, and the non-frequency dispersion. In this work,we establish the ambiguous function for such promising imaging paradigm, and then apply it to investigate quantitatively the performance for three-dimensional(3D)microwave imaging.Specifically, the achievable resolution is studied in terms of some influencing factors, such as the distance between probed scene and metasurface, the metasurface scale, and the coding style of metasurface. Finally, selected numerical results are provided to examine the performance of above imaging system.
