Duration Effect of Pulsed High-Brightness Organic Light-emitting Diodes

  The pulse voltage has been considered to be an effective approach to realizing high-performance organic light-emitting diodes(OLEDs).In this paper,the device performance was measured using both DC voltage and pulse voltage.The duration effect of the applied pulse and three laser dyes were studied on high-brightness OLEDs.The results showed that the shorter duration of pulse voltage was productive to avoid heat accumulation in the device and made device driven at high electric field.The application of pulse on OLED could improve the efficiency,but decreased rapidly after reaching a current density due to annihilation.
