HIGH Color rendering White-Light-Emitting Diodes Using CdSe Quantum-Dot conversion film
Colloidal quantum dots(QDs)have been extensively studied for optoelectronic and biological applications due to their unique physical and optical properties.In particular,among the optoelectronics applications,the white light emitting diode(WLED)has great potential in flat panel displays and solid-state lighting.In this work,we propose and demonstrate the superiority of the illumination using blue-(B-),green-(G-),and red-(R-)CdSe QDs conversion film(CF)coupled with a blue LED back-light-unit(BLU).The fabricated white LEDs showed color rendering index and luminous efficiency up to 123 and 10.3(TBD)lm/W,respectively.
